New Year's Eve 2012!
written on 6 Jan 2013 @ Sunday, January 06, 2013 ✈

How I got to Neverland?

It was the day after the BBQ at dear's place that Tony suggested that all of them should meet for countdown. So the group chat on Whatsapp continued with where to head to for countdown.

It was on 23 Nov for the BBQ event, so that makes it exactly one week before the 31st of December (not taking into account 31st of course).

Fast forward, until the late afternoon of 31st December, there's still not a confirmed place to countdown. Everyone seems to be going everywhere.

Total flop!!! !!!

In the end dear and I decided to make our own plans which is to go to Pan Pacific Hotel for countdown and to see the 10,000 balloons drop. I'm sure it'll be a pretty sight yes? This was the initial location which Tony suggested. Plus, Pan Pacific had just renovated their lobby which now looks super posh and beautiful.

Since we've decided where we wanna go, we booked tickets to watch Les Miserables at Marina Square at 7.30pm, which ends at about 10.30pm.

However, when our movie ended, by the time we walked over to Pan Pac, we couldn't get a nice seat at Pan Pac. Albeit there were still seats available but the seats really weren't ideal. Besides, we thought it will be more fun to gather with more people, so we started to call Jia Wang and Tony again.

Wang, obviously is with Ying (his wife) and Jeremy will be there too.

Neverland, they call this place.

Ok, I've heard of this place and have stepped foot into Neverland II to watch Richard Marx concert and I know it's a Thai disco. Hmm... it's not exactly a place dear and I will go... Personal preference is probably at some lounge or pub. Clubbing was definitely not on our list. But since friends were there, we thought why not?

Then, we drove down to Orchard Plaza to meet them.

So ya, that's how we ended up at Neverland. After that, more people came to join in. Lol... Sometimes that's how group outings are like.

Last minute but still everyone can get together.

I pretty much like the performances at Neverland. Music was alright too. I think they really need to do something about their washroom though. It's small, flush isn't working very well, and only one mirror. -_- Sorry vain ladies, you all will need to share a mirror if you wanna touch up your makeup at Neverland.

All photos were taken with the iphone and because it was dark, I had to do massive photoshopping (PS Express) and also some other editing apps.

My hair of the day was inspired by Emma Stone in Gangster Squad. I'm really into vintage styles!!!

Thank you dearest, for being there for me, with me.

And it's 2013!!! Pop pop!

Ying & I. She's a Thai by the way and looking so sweet and pretty!

This is the first group of people. Me, Baby, Jia Wang, Ying, Weiqiang, Jeremy and the last guy I don't know his name. :X

Next group came was Esther, Kin and Tony. They went to Sandy (Tony's girlfriend) church first.

After heavy partying, we left Neverland at 3 plus and we went to Kallang McDonald's for supper. Esther was near zombified and by the time I reach back at dear's place (chose to sleepover) it was already 5.20am.

The last time I was home at that hour was................. I don't even remember. Probably more than 5 years ago? That's how long I've not partied so hard! From NYE, it took me like 4 days to recover from the super late night out. I must be getting old :(

Heh. Anyway, It's awesome that we get to spend our last moments of 2012 together. 2 years ago, 2011, we went to Fuse with almost the same group of people. Let's hope our 2013 New Year's Eve countdown will be with you guys again!
